Koyo chooses a chipped red button to start a row of calendar days
Koyo set a red button at the end of the table and told it to stay brave.
The button was round, shiny, and chipped on one edge, which made it look as if it had already survived an adventure.
Beside it sat a little bowl of other buttons: blue, brown, yellow, white, and one purple button shaped like a flower.
Koyo had decided they would become days on a calendar row.
